The Education Showroom is delighted and proud to partner with imabi, a multi award-winning safeguarding and wellbeing platform designed to empower students and foster a safe, supportive school environment.

Imabi enables all schools and multi academy trusts to meet and exceed their KCSiE (Keeping Children Safe in Education) requirements while offering students the resources and voice they need to be safe and thrive.

imabi provides students with clear, accessible guidance on safeguarding matters and allows them to report concerns or share feedback through a confidential, anonymous system. Imabi ensures that students’ voices are heard, building a culture of trust and open communication between students, staff, parents and safeguarding teams. Imabi also provides invaluable insights into the broader cultural dynamics within school communities, helping staff address emerging issues proactively.

Key features of imabi include:

Safeguarding & Reporting: Students, staff, and parents can easily report concerns such as bullying, sexual harassment or any safety issues, with the ability to specify the location (e.g., classroom, playground, bus, or on the way home), allowing schools to act quickly on emerging issues.

Early Intervention: By tracking trends and gathering data, Imabi enables schools to identify potential safeguarding concerns early and respond before they escalate.

Communication Tools: The platform includes messaging features that allow schools to communicate directly with students and parents. Schools can send targeted push notifications and messages to specific groups (e.g., year groups or class groups), ensuring timely and relevant communication on safeguarding matters. Location Sharing: The optional location-sharing feature adds an extra layer of safety, allowing students to share their location in real time with their parents and school staff. This helps both parents and schools monitor the students’ whereabouts and respond to any concerns.

As the recipient of the Global EdTech Award for “Best Wellbeing, Safeguarding or Online Safety Product,” Imabi is recognised for its transformative impact on student safety and wellbeing.

imabi has already been pivotal in saving at least two children’s lives and is also the technology behind the British Transport Police’s award-winning Railway Guardian app, driving more than 8,000 reports annually.

What Are Schools Saying About imabi?

Stephanie Gibson, Deputy Head Teacher, Barking Abbey

“Shortly after implementing imabi, Ofsted came for an inspection. They were highly impressed with how we were encouraging students to report their safety concerns and recognised that traditional methods like emails or a library suggestion box are now obsolete. Our substantial progress did not go unnoticed, and they commended our forward-thinking approach.”

Darren Sheldrake, Middle School Principal

“We launched at midday, and by 2 o’clock, we’d had our first disclosure via the platform. The anonymous reporting feature has been particularly well-received, encouraging students to come forward without fear of repercussions. It’s allowing our students to take away that stigma of ‘someone’s going to get in trouble,’ but actually they’re just reaching out to help someone.”

By implementing imabi, schools and MATs can ensure they are not only meeting KCSiE safeguarding requirements but also cultivating a culture where students thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
