Meet the team

Managing Director and Co-Founder

Catherine Belchamber

As Managing Director, Catherine is responsible for the day-to-day running of The Education Showroom including managing all enquiries, sales, marketing, customer service and hosting the showcases.

Catherine’s Background

After completing her BSc (Hons) Psychology and an MSc (Hons) in Education, Catherine knew she had a huge passion for education and for helping schools to operate efficiently and effectively but most importantly to help students reach their full potential.

Following this passion, Catherine worked as a teaching assistant in a Special Educational Needs College before starting her role at School Business Services where she was an Account Manager supporting schools with acquiring new financial forecasting software. Looking for the next step in her career, Catherine joined Applicaa, an Edtech start-up as a Regional Sales Manager spreading the word about their digital admissions software which saves schools significant amounts of time and money.

During her roles, Catherine has worked in partnership with several education supply companies including reseller agreements and marketing partnerships. From an early stage, it was clear to Catherine that the choice of suppliers, services and products on the market was huge, from literacy and numeracy suppliers through to metacognition, through to back office finance and operations systems.

There was no doubt that with senior leaders in schools becoming more strapped for time and with budgets becoming ever more challenging, schools were at risk of inefficient procurement and therefore inefficient spending.

This propelled Catherine’s passion for helping schools engage with the most effective products and solutions and to use their budget in the most effective and strategic way.
